Request for Proposals
This Program has been made possible from funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). The Recovery Act has allocated funding to the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Strengthening Communities Fund to build the capacity of nonprofit organizations, whether secular or faith-based, to address the broad economic recovery issues present in their communities, including helping low-income individuals secure and retain employment, earn higher wages, obtain better-quality jobs, and gain greater access to state and Federal benefits and tax credits, including Recovery Act benefits.
The HYCBP Financial Assistance Grant Program provides funding to support capacity building for HYCBP Member Organizations based on areas of need that were identified in their Organizational Assessment, and / or that will advance the quality of services and structure of the organization as a whole.
Although we are very interested in seeing that all of the Network Members be given the necessary tools and training to strengthen the capacity of their organization, the funding for this Program is limited and awards are made on a competitive basis.
Eligibility is limited to Network Members who were not awarded during previous rounds of funding. It is also important for Network Members to review the criteria that will be used to evaluate the applications prior to submittal, available on the right hand side of this page.
